The all exciting OkadaBooks #Jollof Writing Contest comes to an official end today!

Some weeks ago, nine of the contestants were selected for the Second Stage based on adherence to Competition Guidelines, which includes proper hash tagging and word-count compliance among other factors. Here is the long list again:

 

The selected few then proceeded to the Second Stage during which readers’ votes by way of downloads and reviews were required to be shortlisted for the final round. Although all the entries were duly rated, only the top five made the shortlist:

 

 

As outlined in the Contest Guide, entries by the finalists were forwarded to the #Jollof Writing Contest panel of judges for thorough scrutiny. The finalists will be judged based on style, structure and story line. Entries will also be checked for errors.

The selection process is now on-going, at the end of which the first three winners will be announced.

Prizes to be awarded are:

First Prize: N20,000 (N10,000 Cash plus N10,000 OkadaBooks Credit)

Second Prize: N10,000 (N5,000 Cash plus N5,000 OkadaBooks Credit)

Third Prize: N5,000 (N2,500 Cash plus N2,500 OkadaBooks Credit)
