You Really Should Have a Wish List THIS Christmas…

Do you have a wish list for this Christmas? I mean a real wish list for the coming year?

By all means you should!

One of the reasons why people maintain the status quo, go around the same mountains and remain on the same level yearly is that we get so preoccupied with our daily grind and survival, and we do not see beyond that.

We do not see enough to take advantage of divine providence.

We do not see enough to ask for more…

Meanwhile, our Father is always waiting for us to ask.

Eph..3.20 (GNB) To him who by means of his power working in us is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think of:

One of the reasons why people maintain the status quo yearly is that we get so preoccupied with work and survival, and we do not see beyond that. Even when we do see enough to have great desires, we still do not ask! @funmie_adebayo

It’s even more amazing to discover that when we do see enough to have great desires, we still do not ask!

Do we doubt His capability to provide for us?

Are we afraid that our needs are too many, our loads too heavy and our burdens too wearisome for Him to bear?

Jas.4..2 (KJV) …ye have not because ye ask not.

Turn of the Year…

I personally take every turn of the year as an opportunity to present my wish list to God. And I will try to explain what my wish list looks like.

On my list are things like, areas where I wish for more by the end of the coming year- especially places where my desired change is not feasible, humanly speaking…

Likewise, our wish lists should contain

– needs in our lives that cannot be met,

– heights we wish for but cannot attain,

– feats we can’t accomplish on our own,

– our insurmountable problems and

– every other thing that we cannot get by any immediate, humanly visible, feasible or possible means!

There are areas where circumstances won’t cooperate;

areas where lack of funds is an issue;

areas where we have unfavourable regulatory to cope with;

areas where there is simply no man on earth to put us through.

But should we therefore cast aside our needs, hopes and aspirations and keep battling with the realities of today?

Should we keep wallowing in our problems and taking life as it comes?

If we take pleasure in asking our human loved ones for ‘vain’ things at times like this, shouldn’t we rather ask our Heavenly Father, who has everything at His fingertips about the real issues of our lives and destiny?

Are we afraid that our needs are too many, our loads too heavy and our burdens too wearisome for God to bear @funmie_adebayo?

An Assignment For You This Year End…

Gen.13:14-15 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Abram,…, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.

It’s just few days to Christmas- and afterwards, we’d have the final week of the year!

Here is an assignment for you this week:

Please take a mental trip into the coming year and prepare a wish list concerning everything you want done in your life by this time next year.

For example, do you wish to have set up your own business?

Do you wish to have delivered your miracle baby?

Do you wish to have overcome the seemingly insoluble issues facing you today?

Do you wish to have been found by your ‘Prince Charming’ ?

Do you wish for a change of status and complete turn around in your finances?

Include all those ‘tight corners’ where desire a ‘bail out’ in your list, especially those seemingly insurmountable issues.

Afterwards, present your wish list to God with thanksgiving and a blessed assurance that it’s all done. And God truly answers prayers.

May God meet and exceed your desires, level your mountains and enrich your life with His glorious power and according to His promises by the Reason for the season.

Do have a very wonderful day and I wish you a Merry Christmas in advance!
