This week witnessed the birth of ‘Teacher Leader Series’ – a new networking and mentoring series for educators by Prime Educators.
Prime Educators is an online platform created by amiable Taiwo Alalade on Facebook to cater for the unique needs of teachers, school administrators and school proprietors.
According to the dutiful teacher turned Educational Mentor/Consultant, the Prime Educators initiative was born out of the need for a platform to bring teachers, school administrators and school owners together online, following some of her physical coaching and mentoring events in conjunction with corporate organizations, including the British Council.
The platform seeks to aid knowledge transfer and networking, and to foster community and continuity among educators, which is particularly needed this post-COVID-19 era.

Here’s Taiwo’s story in her own words:
“In 2019, I had the second edition of my Annual Workshop for Teachers, School Owners and Administrators in conjunction with the British Council. I wanted a platform to bring them together, to communicate and drive the 21st century contemporary teaching strategies, so I thought of creating an online platform, by way of a group on Facebook.

“I added thirteen people, did few posts and gave up on it.
“This year, when the pandemic started and we had a total lockdown of schools, I decided to revisit the group out of the quest for moving forward. Gradually, ideas came on how to improve on it and make that dream a reality – thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic that gave inspiration to many people, including me, and for taking me out of my shell.
