Happy days are here for designers, globally and in Africa, as Ademola Badejo recently completed his first font project, adding an elegant and stylish African beauty he christened ‘Demo Sans’ to the global fonts library.

In Ademola’s words, “The Demo Sans font project is a venture I have been passionate about for many years. Many prominent designers have created unique fonts, which are being used by designers globally. So, it has always been my desire to develop and create my own set of signature fonts for use by designers all over the world.”
Ademola hopes to create and add font styles with an African feel to the global font library, and the Demo Sans Font is the first from his fonts collection.

“Due to the level of detail and expertise required in making custom fonts, very few African designers have ventured into fonts design. It is an aspect of design which requires some level of motivation, as the demand is not so much as to make it a lucrative venture in this region.” Ademola added.
Ademola is currently working on other fonts, and in coming months, he looks to have developed fonts like like Shakara, Lepa Shandi, Orobo Rocks. Jagajaga, Baba Ijebu, Naija Sans and more fonts with the African feel.

Meet Ademola Badejo
Ademola is a a multi disciplinary Graphic Designer and Brand Consultant with several years of experience. He worked as a Creative Brand Designer in various sectors, such as Advertising, Print and Tech, and other industries for over seven years before starting SC Brands, a brand agency in Abuja, Nigeria. With 1000 plus brands, design concepts and visual campaigns to his credit, one project of particular note is the ADOLESCENT GIRL CHILD INITIATIVE design project of The United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA, in which he designed the visual communications materials for the campaign.
Ademola is a consultant for Save The Children International, Breakthrough Action Nigeria, Nigeria Digital Economy Summit and African Youth and Governance Convergence to mention a few.
