…the large expanse of water, creeks and swamp were all as beautiful as they were scary …’
Afeso Akanbi
Documentary film maker and social activist, Afeso Akanbi was recently seen ‘wading through the waters’ in a quest for social intervention, and of course, in search of a good story.
In his words, ‘In a quest to reach out to kids like those at the CRARN centre in Eket, we took the trip from the beautiful city of Calabar to Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria, on a speed boat…the large expanse of water, creeks and swamp were all as beautiful as they were scary …’
Meanwhile, CRARN is acronym for Child Rights and Rehabilitation Network, a charity organization that advocates for the rights and rehabilitation of abused, deprived and oppressed children.
